It could be dandruff or it could be build up from shampoos containing wax. do you buy your shampoo at a grocery/pharmacy? inexpensive products? if so ask a salon for a recommendation. may be more expensive in the short run but pays off in the long run. avoid head and shoulders which actually irritates the scalp.

may also be a condition that needs medical treatment if you are using a good product. again ask stylist for suggestions and if that doesn't work as your doctor. real dandruff isn't just flakes but a really bad rash on the scalp as well.

I love Head and Shoulders! It works great, whenever I start to have dandruff I use it instead of my regular shampoo. She can use normal conditioner, but make sure she keeps it away from roots. Conditioner is only for the tips and middle. And make sure she says away from hair products (hair spray, moose, gel, etc) until her dandruff it gone.
Hope this helps!!

Yes, Use babyoil. Slide the dandruff out and then scrub scalp with antibacterial mild liquid soap and rinse well with fingers and use cold rinse after warm. Dandruff should be gone overnite

My suggestion is to buy a good comb or a hair brush with rubber balls on the tips. Help her brush or comb her hair from top to bottom several times. If she continues this some flakes should get out of her hair.

Severe dandruff may be a skin condition called psoriasis. Maybe she should see a dermatologist.
