I kind of like this guy, and he likes me back. But he's not really the type of guy i'd date. He's kind of a loser. He doesn't really fit into the "popular" clique like i do. I really don't like his hair but he's just really nice and he has a great personality. I don't want to date him and people consider me a loser also just for dating him. Im not trying to sound stuck up and all. Most of my friends call him the loser of our grade. i don't want make him sad by saying this stuff to him . so i need help with something to say to him when i tell him that i can't date him.. helppp! please and thank u.

However, as a matter of interest, I also used to belong to such a group.
There was a very pretty girl in this group who all the other guys wanted to date.
In the end she went off with a guy who sounds very much like the one you describe.
A bit of a loner, bit of a geek, liked playing with model trains.
(before I go any further, let me assure you this is not a joke, I swear this is true)
I met up with her again just a couple of weeks ago.
She has now been married to this "geek" for 41 years.
Yes, that's 41 years. They had 3 kids and now have 4 grand children.
He is still a geek, still plays with model trains - she is still attractive - and they are both extremely happy.

first of all, GET OVER YOURSELF!!! when you graduate your friends opinions wont matter anymore. there is no "popular" clique in the real world. its really just you and who ever you married against the world. your in high school. this is the time where you should enjoy your friendships, learn from dating experiances and learn how to live your own life. You need to decide for yourself so when you tell him if or if not you date him then you are being honest not only with him but ith yourself. Because what happens if you want to date this guy but don't because of your friends? you will always wonder "what if"? and let me tell you thats way worse than having your friends tell you your dating a loser. they aren't dating him you are and its your opinion that matters. You should read the TEEN LOVE book by the people who write the chicken soup for the soul there are a lot of good stories in there that would help you out.

Personally, I think you SHOULD date the guy. If he has a great personality and he is nice, I would date him. I once liked a guy who was really kinda dorky and he was not that handsome (he wasn't ugly, but just kinda odd looking) and I really liked him for the was he was; the way he carried himself; the way he was nice to all the girls; everything about him was just nice. I think you should date the guy and not care about what they think. They are gonna end up jealous because you have a guy that likes you for who you are, and you like him for who he is. You would have a great relationship! Your friends should be jealous. Just follow your heart, not your friends because your friends don't know what's in your heart. Good luck!

Where in the hell do you women get off saying "You know this guy would be perfect if only-?" Then you screw up his life when he goes with you, by completely changing him- then when you've changed him, you don't like him cause he's not what you were dating to begin with!
Leave the poor guy alone- either accept him as he IS, or just go away

It sounds to me that you are letting your "friends" influence your decision. You said he is super nice and has a great personality, so what are your real reasons for not wanting to date him? I think you need to figure out what you want not what your "friends" want.

you said you like him but still you are minding what your friends are telling about. hes a loser but what if you teach him not to be one. who knows you can change his image and everybody will idolize you for doing that.
