one person person [from my last question] said that it was skimmed off the top of settled milk. =[
so could i do that myself [how long should it be settled]

Half and hal;f is only heavy cream mixed with whole milk. I don't think you could make your own cream but you could make a nice whipped cream or butter.

The milk that you buy in the store as been paturized, that means it has gone through a process that mixes the cream into the milk. So you can not skim the cream off store purchased milk.

If you need cream (half & half) you should purchase it at the store. There is not way to make it at home from store bought milk.

It's not skimmed off the top of settled milk. It's exactly what it says, half and half.
1 part heavy cream, 1 part milk, basically.
