Simply right click on the file or folder and select "send to" and then "A:" or "floppy disk".

If the file is too large to fit on a single disk, you need a file splitting / joining program. http://www.freebyte.com/hjsplit/

From Windows Explorer:
1. Select the file or folder, and then click Edit and Copy.
2. Click the floppy drive (usually the A: drive).
3. Click Edit and Paste.
4. The file or folder will be copied to the floppy.

From an application:
1. Click File and Save as... .
2. From the save dialog, click the Save in: dropdown arrow.
3. Select the floppy drive (such as 3½ Floppy A:).
4. Click the Save button.
5. The file will be saved onto the floppy.

You can also save a file or folder on to a floppy drive by dragging the file to the icon for the floppy drive (A:) and drop it there.

Click on FILE then click on SAVE AS enter a name for the file and use the down arrows under the "save in" box to make sure you select your "A" drive (or whatever is your floppy drive location) and you now have a copy saved on a floppy.

If I remember correctly, and you are talking about a 3.5 inch drive, when you click on "Save As", you should then type in the 'save as' space: a:/ that will be the place you will want to save the info to.
