Most everything in the universe follows these 2 simple rules. You will head in the direction that you are looking and you will get good at what you practice at.
In order to answer the questions you pose properly you have to ask...What direction are you looking and is what you practice going to get you there? An example: Two men want to become millionaire's. One man goes to collage and gets a Ph.D., and invents a better mousetrap to get rich. The othe man buys lottery tickets. Who do you think is doing the most effective and efficient thing to become a millionaire?
So do we look in the direction of love or in the direction of god? And, do we practice love or do we practice god? I believe the proper answer is: We look in the direction of God and that we practice Love to get there.
If you wish to change your life, you must change where you look and change what you practice. If you don't have something to change to, you will fall back into old habits. So, from my point of view the effective and efficient thing to do with your life is to: Look for good things to happen and practice being good. The more good decisions you make the more good things will happen. Bad things will still happen, but not as many as when you make bad decisions.
I think that God looks for good things to happen and that God practice's love to get there.There is a part of gods soul filled with love inside every being. God loves you. All you have to do is love back in the same manner and you will find out how powerful God and Love can be.
These are my own beliefs based on personal experience of looking, finding and practicing Peace and Love...Joetheway
