Have you read any of the first four chapters of the New Testament? Jesus associated with a lot of sinners to help them. Jesus and God are like one person. Where do you get that idea--that He is too proud to associate with sinners? We are all sinners silly and that is why Jesus died for us, so that we can ask for forgiveness and be forgiven and that we can ask him to save us so that we can live with him in heaven one day. Too proud is not at all true. I don't think you are really thinking about this the right way. I hope you get some good answers to your question and that you can get some relief to your anxiety or worry about this.

I know from my yrs of Catholic school and goin to Mass, that no matter what the situation is, God will always love you. The Father, Son , and Holy Spirit are looking at u all the time. We all sin. People that are pasters in some faith tell a fib every now and then. Its being normal. God even forgives the Jews that dont believe in his son. Read the bible. Every one breaks sins. Thats way there is the 10 commands.

Jesus was with the "sinners" who sought him out and desired change. As he told the Pharisee's its better for their doctor to be with them so they could get help than for them to be without him. He was saying that he was "needed there and had a job to do for these people." He wasn't hanging out partying. Big difference.

Unlike Christ Jesus, we can't "read peoples hearts" and see what they hope to gain by being in our midst. Do they want to improve or just pull us down? This is what God warns his followers about. If we were perfect as Christ was, we wouldn't have a problem deflecting people who meant to harm us (well, as Adam proved, at least most of them time we wouldn't). So, until we are able to discern and understand why people do what they do, it is better to "be safe than sorry" and for us to keep close to God and away from spiritual harm. In other words, if someone seeks out God in his house, he is indeed to be welcomed wholeheartedly!!! But, the Elders of the congregation should invite them to study and learn with them what the Bible teaches and the rest of the congregation should follow the lead of the elders.

It is not presented that God is too proud but too Holy. He is perfect and as such cannot be "arround" or accept imperfection which is sin. That is why He sent Jesus to reconcile mankind so that we could be acceptable before Him. Jesus is the bridge that provides a way for sinful/imperfect/finite man to associate, understand in a small measure, and satisfy the will and Holiness requirement of God. I am not God and it does sound a bit snooty to human standards, but we have to remember that our thoughts are not God's thoughts and they never will be and we won't understand His until we are in His presence and get to ask all this stuff and get the answers directly from Him. It may just be that He is God, is perfect and won't even grace us with a response because we must accept that He is perfect and so are all of His decisions.

He HAS welcomed all of His flawed creation into His house but God hates PRIDE (that was what got Satan kicked out of heaven) and one must swallow pride to admit that they are not perfect (trying doesn't count) and need a Savior -- some help to be "good enough" to be a true child of God and deserving of being in His presence daily and forever. We are asked to not only believe this in our heart but confess it with our mouths and be baptised before others as a symbol of death to our old selfish self and re-birth into perfection (a process in the human time/space continuum but in God's eyes already complete when we accept Jesus as Saviour and Lord). It seems a small price to pay -- belief and words and baptism but it causes many to walk away empty because they have too much pride. As a Christian I was not "rescued from pride" but only made aware of it everytime it rears it's ugly head in my life. I now see my pride (because I'm not afraid to look honestly at myself and admit when I'm wrong) and it is a much bigger problem than I thought (pride -- self-righteousness) and must work daily to keep it in check.

God appreciates and esteems the humble which is the person who sees themselves as God sees them. Just how God sees us isn't as bad as you think and it requires some real study which I'll give you a link to help if you are interested. Also, understanding who God is is important to answer this question so I'll paste that link too. (I'm adding spaces so the link doesn't disappear -- that happens when questions go to voting for some reason which kinda defeats the purpose of having a answers database without having the answer link, eh -- that's a different issue though LOL!) Just delete the spaces after www. - .com - and /topical_ and paste it in your browser.

You pose a really good question and it is less hard to understand than it is to accept -- it is harder to accept than to understand in other words. Thanks for the intellectually stimulating question and I'm going to study the question further myself.

Hope this is helpful! Again, GREAT question!!

If that is true why does the lord say this:

Romans 10:9-13 (King James Version)

9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

11For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

12For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.

13For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Secondly Jesus Christ is the Word of god:

1 John 5:7 (King James Version)

7For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

John 1:1-5 (King James Version)

1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

2The same was in the beginning with God.

3All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

4In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

5And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

So if god will not associate with sinners why did god become a man to attempt to save you and the rest of humanity?

God freely associates with sinners who repent their sins.

BTW: Jesus learned from God and is now one with God.

He is allowing that's why he sent his only begotten Son to be crucified on the cross, so us sinners could receive the gift of everlasting life.

Christ is an example of the true nature of God....The true nature of God is not in the modern day Christian message. How is it that they don't see that?

it's not that they're not allowed. we are sinful by nature and he knows that. he allows those of us who choose to acknowledge that they are sinful and seek forgiveness and try to better themselves. god's not too proud and he CREATED jesus. god is compassionate to those who worship him and hateful (Couldn't think of better word) to those who oppose or refuse to believe in him. read the bible it's all in there...
