Months and months. however the tests vary, and most people will pass after 30-60 days of no ingestion. If he has a lot of fat, possibly longer. If he is using the good stuff- it takes longer. THC, which is an acronym for tetrahydrocannabinol, is the psychotropic compound contained in marijuana. This compound is NOT water soluable. In other words, it can take up to a month for the body to eliminate it, since it binds to fat enzymes and not water.
