When you drop carbs from you diet your body begins using fat as the primary energy source, you're burning fat by not megadosing on carbs.

Muscle weighs more than fat. By decreasing your carbs and increasing your protein, you have probably gained muscle, and lost fat, but not seen results due to the discrepancy of weight with fat and muscle.

Using your weight as a way to gage fat loss is not accurate or reliable. You should be measuring your body fat percentage. This can be done by a health professional and possibly a personal trainer. There are also scales that are able to measure body fat percentage (Tanita: http://www.tanita.com/ ) that can help tell you whether you are losing muscle or fat.

to my recollection, you cant loose muscle.

once u have muscle u have it thats why super body builders always work out or their muscles would become like all limpy.

If im not mistaken that is.
