Are you supposed to eat it ON the toast they provide? Or is the toast just a compliment? What's the best type of wine to pair with it? Or is there another drink that goes better with it? Any other details and suggestions are appreciated.

MAYBE WITH KETCHUP

Sea urchin A.k.a. uni. Creamy, blob-like yellow stuff that tastes either savory and briny, or slimy and noxious — depending on your trendiness quotient.
Cauliflower Served at treehugger parties, along with raw carrots — when what we really crave is burgers and buffalo wings. Still, anything slathered in Heinz’s 57 Sauce is surprisingly edible.

It's perfectly acceptable to eat the bread under the steak. The bread is there to soak up the blood so it won't run all over your plate. It's also acceptable to eat the garnish on your plate so munch away!

Now on to wines... while reds such as Merlots or Beaujolais are given the nod, whites such as Chenin Blanc also work well with this style of meat.

(I prefer my tartare to be cooked medium rare - ha ha!)
