I have a female parakeet i have had her for about 20 days. She used to bite me but not anymore now when i hold her she starts to scream like I am trying to kill her which i am not. What can i do to make her stop scream so loudly?

my first reaction to reading your problem was to say scream back but please dont just try and be patient ok 20 days is not that long I know you want to be friends quicker but depending on the age of the bird will determine how quickly you and it will becomes friends if it is an older bird it will take a lot longer ok
the other person suggested giving good and all please do NOT give budgies lettuce you will give it the runs ok your bird will get used to you over time you have to be patient ok maybe not try handling everday for a while maybe every second day ok
i ciould say more but I think you are getting the gist of what everyone is saying

Birds are not easy. Keep working with the bird. Take it out every single day, make sure the wings and bill is clipped, and fresh fruit like apples, pears, and lettuce.
The bird will most likely come around with more attention as time goes on.
