Go to disc cleanup in Start/Accessories/System tools; this will delete all unnecesairy files. Also, if you have movies, pictures or music on hard drive, burn it on a CD (even better DVD). Try to see if you have some programs that you no loger use and uninstall them. You can see the list of instaled programs in Control panel/Add/remove programs.

How do you know it needs more free space? You could probably do 5 or 6 things to make it run faster.
Run cleanup
Run spyware
Reduce the number of programs you have active
Defragment the hard drives

they say you should clean out all the graphics you don't need, and make sure all old games are un-installed...I heard that a lot of these games from the cereal boxes come with a lot of spyware and that can slow you down, and delete your cookies once in awhile because you don't need them for places you don't go anymore and they take up a lot of RAM

click on the desk top Icon Internet explorer{big blue e}double click it,go to properties,delete everything in the temporary Internet file{cookies and files}then delete all in the History and change keep history to 1 day
