I don't think it's weird, nowadays crosses have become an accessory anyway.
just like navel piercings- they are a religious sign for some ethnicities but nowadays everybody does them for the sake of fashion. so, to conclude, no you're not weird and you can wear it if you like.

My personal feelings are that I am sad the cross has become a fashion statement which de-sensitizes people to it's significance.

However, if you want to wear a cross there is nothing stopping you but the fact that you asked the question should clue you into the fact that you may be less of an athiest than you think. I'd say you reject views of God that you have heard, read, or been exposed to and would encourage you to stay open minded. Ask God if He's real in your heart, not out loud and read Holy books for yourself and ask God to help you understand them -- if He is real He can speak for Himself. You don't have to become illogical or stupid to have faith; you can believe in evolution, math, science, all that and have no conflict with real faith -- God doesn't call anyone to be less than what He created them to be or more.

Peace!

Not weird. I'm an Atheist, yet I celebrate Christmas as a secular holiday, and display a Menorrah as a sign of solidarity with my Jewish friends. I even join them in their festivities.

Just because I take part in these things doesn't make me a hypocrite. Rather, it shows a willingness to accept all people and their beliefs.

Wear the cross if you like it, and don't worry about the image it projects or how others perceive it.

yes you are weird. The wearing of a cross is a sign that you are a Christian, Not a fashion statement A Jew wouldn't wear a cross , so why would an Athiest.

As a Christian, who sees the symbolism and importance in the cross, I'd find it kind-of offensive. To me, a cross represents more than just two lines meeting at a point and continuing. It's a symbol of what I put my faith in, and why I can have that faith.

Why would you wear an obvious badge of Christianity if you are not? It just doesn't make any sense.
Symbols are expressions of other meanings - for a reason.
Maybe you are conflicted or feel like fitting in.
Re-examine your desire to wear the symbol.

If looks cool, wear it. I wear a celtic cross and I'm an Athiest. I just think it looks pretty.

Well I am and I wear endless crosses, cruxifixes, ankhs, even a Star of David once in a while. Its just my personal style and if it offends anyone , hey sorry, but I like em!

Why? Doesn't wearing the sign of Chrsitianity kind of defeat the purpose? Wouldn't that be kind of like wearing the emblem/insignia of your most hated sports team or something?
