How does that relate to the idea of infant baptism in the New Testament?

today, when a baby is circumcised right after birth, they are given an injection of vitamin K in order to cause the blood to clot so this procedure can be done safely. Naturally, a baby has enough vitamin K in his system to allow the blood to clot properly at 8 days old.
THis has nothing to do with infant baptism. At this point the baby is dedicated to the Lord- this is a commitment the parents make- to raise the child in the way He should go , in the fear and admonition of the Lord. The baby at this point in their life can make no commitment of their own and can choose to follow no one.
Baptism is for those who are old enough to understand, to be accountable for their decisions , to be able to make a decision to follow Christ and understand the importance and meaning of baptism- baptism is a personal decision that cannot be made by an infant- there is no place in the NT that suggests, commands, or gives example of infant baptism.

It was the prescribed way to do it back then. It does not relate to infant baptism as the bible says to REPENT and be baptized. Now just what does a baby have to repent of? Doesn't even know what sin is much less done it. Nowhere in the New or Old Testament does it ever say a baby should be baptized. $10,000 to the first one that can prove me wrong.

God commanded the Jews to be marked in their flesh so as NO ONE would ever doubt they were part of Israel. When it started, the ones circumscised were not children, but adult males. Then after they were all circumscised, then the regulation for the 8 day old males. It was a guarantee they were part of the covenant.
It does not relate to infant baptism at all. It does relate to adult baptism for remission of sins, and is referred to in parallel, as the spiritual circumcision of the HEART. The seal or guarantee that YOU are a part of the NEW Covenant.
Hope that helps. BTW, infant baptism is not salvational baptism, no matter what people teach. Part of the reasoning in baptism is YOU consent to having your sins removed because YOU repent from sin. Babies cannot repent from anything and they have NO sins for which to repent. Neither can they confess Jesus as their saviour. This false teaching, I am sorry to call it that, is from the Holy Traditions of the Roman Catholic Church, which are held in equal esteem and inspiration as the Holy Bible, even when they contradict each other.

The point of circumcision at 8 days old was to show God that the family/son will obey God's words. Infant baptism is to show that the parents/guardians will raise the child (male/female) in a Godly home!@

It's done on the 8th day because that's when the blood begins to clot. The ritual of circumcision was done partly for cleanliness. I don't think there is a relation between it and baptism.

There is no infant baptism in the bible at all. You have to come to god of your own free will. Secondly Jesus Christ did away with the Jewish traditions on the cross. Thirdly the circumcision was done a symbolic tradition of identification.

The enemies of Israel would verify they had slaughtered x-point number of Men & Boys by snipping off the foreskin. By adopting circumcison the Jews thought they were being clever. It worked - - - for short while, then their enemies hacked off the entire organ and now one could count, x-point number of Jews killed and x-point number of Non-Jews Killed. Infant Baptism in the New testement is something entirely different - - - it is a cleansing of the infants soul, washing away the sins of Thy Father & Mother - - - Christians are real big on Sin. It was a very unhygenic time, lots of infections that ended up killing, and uncircumcized people were more prone to the infections. No, I'm not making that up, its fact. That's why I believe God wanted the Israelites circumcized. Had nothing to do with baptism, actually there is no baptism in the Jewish religion.

consecration to God, obedience to God. Although some may think baptism of the child at 8 days may still be the same, it is not.

Check your medical books.
Vitamin K is highest in a child at the 8th day and drops after that.
K is a vitamin that increases blood clotting.
