Cancer is not one single disease it is a group of diseases and different cancers express different characteristics. So there is no one answer as a cure for cancer. Recent advances in molecular biology and genetics have shown that more than 20 genes and their products are expressed in altered form in different tumors. So somebody finding a cure for cancer as a whole is absolutely ridiculous.

It's only been tested on a few - gene theraphy, wherein the white cells are taught to identify and erraticate the cancer cells. It wiped out the cancer in those it was tried upon. Now they are getting it ready for larger trials.
