very bad for your hair, not necessarily for you unless you get it on your skin and let it sit there...

It really depends on the chemicals used and how often you process your hair. For example, if you're doing only highlights and you process only new roots each time, I'd say you're probably not going to have damaged-looking hair. If you process your hair multiples times, you can definitely cause cuticle damage and hair breakage. The other problem with bleaching, if you're not toning, is that "bleached" look. It works for Pamela Anderson, at least the guys would probably say so, but it doesn't work for most of the rest of us. I think a suble highlighting is very becoming and helps many women accent their faces. If it's your first time, I'd suggest going to a professional. Ask a lot of questions, and if you decide to do it yourself, do only a very small section in an obscure place. Good luck!

It drys your hair out most the time and it doesn't look that great anyways. But if you want to bleach your hair, the best thing to do is get a really nice hair conditioner, just in case it drys out. So it's not too bad, but bad enough to say so.

BAD! Even worse than highlighting it. If you're going to lighten your hair, it's better to use a color than a bleach. The deposit of the color makes the hair shaft a bit thicker, too. Plus, when you bleach, you have less control over what color you end up with. I would never try it again. (Tried it many times...now have super-short hair!

Don't do it yourself.Go to a hair dresser who is a color . Maybe just buy a pink wig or make/get clip in hair extensions that in the colors you want. Really think it through because you could end up at the hairdresser trying to fix the problem that you created.

The more you bleach or color your hair the more you leech out the natural color - when you get older you will get grayer sooner - this is what happen to my wife and the dye will not color the gray as well it should!@

It pretty much strips the moisture and the protein from your hair, thus making it prone to "brittleness", dryness, and breakage. You need a proper shampoo and conditioner to make your hair strong and not brassy looking.

BAD BAD BAD.....It kills the root of your hair, cause you to shave your head bald and re-grow it, also causes itching, better off to go to the salon and let them do it for you.
