I Just got over strep throat and wen i take my pills that make it better that are called CLINDAMYCIN i get heart burn i take 2 pills .... why does this happen??

Heartburn is a side effect of Clindamycin, can cause increase in gastric juice and can also irritate stomach lining. Try taking with food, followed by glass of water, should follow each dose of Clindamycin with glass of water, for it's secreted primarily by the kidneys. If heartburn increases or if you have a bloody stool, contact your doctor immediately.

Are you taking them on an empty stomach? Try taking them with food. I get the same thing when I take medication on an empty stomach unless it is directed.

May its becasue your not drinking enough water with the pill. Try drinking water before you take the pill that will prevent it from sticking to your stomach then when you take the pill drink more water with it. hope that helps.

try to eat some food before taking any medicine had same problem

Don't...... I said..... don't take (burp) them on an empty stomach.. did you hear me girl? I said don't take (fart) them on an empty stomach..... or you will get heart burn.....
