I can go many days without swearing. In fact, I swear so little, that on the few times a year I do do it, it shocks the life out of me. I work with kids and they don't need to hear it, and I love God, and He doesn't want to hear it.

I used to swear allot when I was younger, that was the environment that I grew up in. Swear words were part of the vocabulary. I cut down as I got older & compleatly stoped for the sake of my wonderfull children. Just beacause I was taut at a yong age how to curse, doesent mean my sweet innocent children have to be subjected to it.

It's hard for most people. I know my friend has a toddler and is trying not to swear around him because he's learning to talk but she does it all the time without even realizing it.

My mother does. I've gone days without audibly swearing, but I have never gone a day without swearing to myself (over a stubbed toe, for example).

It's more common nowadays to swear. Honestly, I really think it has to do with the media. You hear it more on TV and in movies, and most of all, you hear it in music...ESPECIALLY rap.
Would Frank Sinatra ever call someone a "bi***?" Not likely, and if he did, DEFINITELY not in his music. But flip on an Eminem or DMX song and you will hear it all.
It's quite sad, and it will only get worse. I used to never swear, and now I find myself swearing now more than ever........

Yes, I rarely swear and when I do something is terribly wrong.People are surprised and say,"I never heard you curse before"! Swearing is a product of an unsophisticated mind. Remember that.

I do it most days. What can I say? Sometimes it's the only way to get some people's attention. There are a lot of small minds out there.

I go everyday without swearing, but it wasn't always this way. It's a tough habit to break, since the words are already out of your mouth before you've even consciously thought them. It took daily prayer for the power of God to break it for me.
