i have a Pomeranian and a Dachshund and i would have to say that i favor the Dachshund.

Dachshund!!!!!!!! My husband bought me a miniture, he is absolutly georgeous, and very smart. He is well behaved for a 3 month old and already paper trained. (hes also spoilt!) I love him to death.

Our little Pomeranian died 2 weeks ago, and we loved her dearly. We had her for 13 years. Poms are beautiful little dogs with a happy personality, and also a fearless attitude. They are very sweet and loyal. The only real drawback is their long hair- it has to be brushed often to keep it from matting. But it wasn't so bad. I've never had a Dachshund, but they do seem like sweet little dogs, also.

I guess it depends upon which one suits your own personality/needs. I have never had a Pomeranian, but think they are really cute and smart. I do have a Dachshund, however, and he is the sweetest, cudliest dog I have ever had.

I like the pomeranian because of its size and attitude, totally reflect mine. But the Dacshhoud, isn't that little bitty dog the resembles a hot dog( The live one) Still the pomerainian

I have owned a doxie before and love the breed, but I think the poms are cute too, and a lot like a Chihuahua. Still in memory of JayJay, I would have to say the doxie.

Definitely a Dachshund! They have more personality, and you can name it a cool name like Frank.

I love My pom.... she is a beautiful little white pom.... Poms have such spunky little attitudes. But are so loveable, and smart... mine knows loads of tricks, and is so well trained... I have never had a Dachshund... they are cute dogs, but I really like the fluffy cuddly sort of dog, and Doxie's don't really seem to soft and cuddly.!
Anyway......

I would say a pom, even though they do shed, but dachshunds have more health problems and what not.

I favor dachshunds too! I love their faces, they have that "sweet" expression in their eyes. also, their fur is easier to care for. dachshounds are very sweet and friendly. now the Poms....i don't like them. they're adorable, but their wayyy to temperamental and nippy. they nip too much. when i was little, my auntie had a pom. one day when i was sleeping, she came out of nowhere and attacked me! lol, i haven't trusted poms ever since then.....

I would go with the dachound. I think pomeranians are too hyper and nippy.
