7. They are racist, and with my multiracial life, I finally disowned the fiends. My kids are all minorities, and I did not think they needed to be exposed to such racial bigotry.

My five kids:

1. A professor in math research.

2. In medical school.

3. Working on her 2nd Master's degree.

4. Bachelor's degree, stay at home mom.

5. some college, my daughter of the heart makes more money than her biological dad does.

Not bad for a factory worker, huh?

My siblings have 13 kids total, and only 3 have any college.

I have 1 brother and 1 sister. I am the youngest of the kids. I am 45 years old. My brother is 62 and my sister is 50. I bet you wish you had some brothers and sisters but I can tell you from experience, it isn't all it is cracked up to be. My sister has always treated my parents like a piece of dirt. After my Dad died in 1993, my brother mostly quit coming by to see our Mom, and we live in the same town. My sister never came around unless she needed something. My brother would only come to see my Mom maybe once every 3-4 months. I had moved away and my Mom was having some health problems so I moved back and lived with her and took care of her from Oct. 2000 until she passed away in Nov. 2005. My Mom was 80 when she passed away. She would cry alot because of the way my brother would treat her. I tried to talk with my brother and sister-in-law 3 times and they finally told me that they had their own lives and we just wasn't that big of a part of their lives and never had been. He is 62 years old as I said. A grown man. My Mom died thinking they didn't love her at all and she couldn't understand why. I couldn't either. I have absolutely nothing to do with either of my siblings or their families. It messed me up mentally alot too they way they would treat us. Sometimes I wish I would have been the only child and my parents wouldn't have gone through as much as they did. I wasn't perfect by far, but I was always there for my parents and loved them very much. When you have brothers and sisters that don't love you and show they don't love you, it is very devastating and depressing. I had to break ties with them for my own sanity. I have felt better not being around any of them too. It is a shame but sometimes you have to do things to protect yourself and your well being. I was so depressed that I wanted to commit suicide. I found my Mom dead on her bathroom floor. It nearly put me over the edge. And then the way my brother and his family and my sister and her family has treated me----it was pushing me off the edge. It scared me that I actually thought about suicide and I went for counseling immediately. They aren't worth it and I have felt better since I broke all ties with my siblings and their families. My counselor jumped up and down when I told her that I had finally broke all ties with my siblings. She was very happy about the choice I had made. I miss them to a point, but I will never look back. They will never be able to say they are sorry for anything because they feel they are never wrong. I have said I am sorry for too many things and didn't even do anything in the beginning. So if you are lonely and wish you had brothers and sisters, there is a reason you don't have any. Only God knows why. You will know why someday. Just be thankful for your life and for your parents. I have a twin sister and an older sister. I was a triplet(my sister died in crib death) and I have three triplet brothers who died.(born at 7 months old). so technically, I have 6 siblings. weird but true!
