Well it dpends on how much that CDR can hold, some CDRs can hold more or less (CDr just means that you can put stuiff on the cd after burning it) anywaysc the more they hold the more they are!

also if the songs are in MP3 format the smaller they are, hence the more you can put on the CD

It depends on the CDR and whether or not the songs are from a CD or an MP3. The standard CDR holds 80 minutes of songs from a CD, but MP3 files are smaller, so you can fit 700 MB from MP3.

It's a matter of minutes audio cds hold 74 minutes. That usually ends up being between 19-24 songs. Most cd-burning software has a little bar at the bottom that shows you what space is used, and what's left, when you're adding songs; you should use that.

If you want it to play on a normal CD player, then you need to burn to the CD-R as an "audio CD". As an audio-CD it will hold 80 minutes. Assuming that your songs are each about 4 minutes long, then that means it will hold *about 20 songs*.

Otherwise you can burn as a "data CD" and put about 180 MP3s on it. Some stereos can actually play MP3s off of CD-Rs, but not many. Most DVD players can play MP3s off of CD-Rs though.

Depends on how big a CDR you have, 70 or 80 minutes. If you have an 80 minute CD you can get 80 minutes of music on it.

On a regular CD ...74 min or 99min (depending on disk type)

but if you are putting mp3s on one disk:
I backed up 12 CDs at extra high quality. (call it 12 hours)
I try to make one master cd per artist and keep the original in a drawer.

you can fit 20-30 hours of music on a disk without loosing TOO much quality...
its a personal preference...
also depends on audio codec used

It depends on the size of the songs, what format and the CD-R capacity.

If you want regular audio format (avi, etc.) You'll have around 18-24. (AGAIN, this is dependent on the size).

But if you want MP3, You can put hundreds of songs in there.
