Hi, Eaton is in a good location in the shopping district. The rooms are reasonable, though may be a bit small, but this should not be a problem as you will be shopping outside most of the time. Kust taking a walk outside along Nathan Road, you will find many shops along the street. Cheap sales stores as well as more up-market brands too. Just be ready to walk around to source for your bargains. I think you should not worry about what you can get, more like to decide on which to buy from selections vailable.

Hong Kong is quite easy to travel around. All the malls are linked to the subway or located nearby one. So you have easy travel from place to place, just hop on the train. Gets you practically anywhere you need to go to shop.

Get a map from the hotel for directions. This will be good enough to cover the places you may want to go. Go to the night markets, at Temple Street just across your hotel, or Tung Choi St just 2 stops away on thetrain. Both carry a wide variety of clothings and are very popular with visitors..

Happy shopping.

Hong Kong will be hot and sticky, but not as sticky as August. Temple street is a night market, it is dead during the day.

In the daytime you can go to Stanley market, in the south of Hong Kong Island. Get the bus from the bus station underneath Exchange Square (no 6 I think) Causeway Bay is another popular shopping district.

In Wanchai check out the markets in backstreets south of Johnston Road for bargains. The big malls are pacific Place Place and Times Square in HK Island.

You'll like Langham Place, trendy mall in near your hotel.

HK is my fav. place in the world for shopping, eating, and having fun...Eaton hotel is not bad, enough to sleep and shower, just a few blocks from the shopping markets on Nathan and Jordan. when on my own (i.e. not on the company's expense account) I usually stay at the cheaper Tatami Hampton, the rooms are pretty basic but clean.

For cheap clothing, shoes, etc...Temple Street Night Market near Yau Ma Tei Station east of Nathan Rd or via Jordan Station, north of Jordan Rd...Tung Choi Street Market (Ladies Street) near Mong Kok Station west of Nathan Rd.

But there is a lot more than that...beaches around HK are quite spectacular but watch the red flags for pollution warnings or storms...Big Wave Bay, Sai Kung Country Park, really beautiful and only a $15 taxi ride from downtown

I know it is still very hot at the moment. They are just finished their summer holiday. I think Stanley is good to buy the bigger size (standard size for us)cloth. Because most of Hong Kong girls are small size. My mum have to come over here (Aus) to buy her size because she is bigger than average (not big for her age and she only wear size 12).
All the best for ur trip.
