An avatar has a personal connection to you. So do gods that you spend time working with, but those gods work with many, many people. Your avatar isn't spread out as much, so it has a more definitive presence in your life.

an avatar is more material than God, but God fit's the definition of real just the same, you cannot have something that is truly, "more real" than something else. Besides, the tie breaker here would be that avatars are in God's creation, we just put them together. From a certain perspective, it might be like a man or his 3d image of himself.
Hard to tell, I would say from whatever perspective you have of what is "real", either way, they both exist.
