I had a great priest friend that somethings calls the feelings your feeling as someone going to a " protestant country club."

So what are you going for-- the 'feel good' feeling you have at the born again church? Lots of friends and activities?

Do you go to the Catholic church to worship and recieve the "True Presence" of Christ in the Body and Blood? I will ask you to read John Chapter 6-- the whole thing. This is why YOU MUST continue to go to the one church that Jesus himself made on Holy Thursday.
Remember the 'born again' has only been around 300 years.
You can go to both but you must not hide the fact that you are a Catholic. We do have a lot in common, it is just the big difference is we worship and don't have to have "feelings."
We should have the same feelings we have when we go see our parents since God is our Father.

I'm not sure what you mean by a "born again" church. Any Christian or person professing faith in Jesus Christ is said to be "Born Again". There are very few Protestant Churches that celebrate Mass like the Catholic Church does. Most Protestant churches also do not believe you have to confess your sins to a priest but rather through the Holy Spirit that is given to all believers accesses the throne of God for you on your behalf and you pray direct to God. Within Protestant churches there are also many types of worship experiences. What you are asking about I wonder if it is a Pentecostal experience which is a very wonderful worship environment. What is important is that you achieve spiritual growth yourself and find a place to worship God that helps you.

I have led worship in several different churches, a few of us put a worship team together to help out a small catholic church where one of the girls attended.

I disagree with much of catholic theology, but I can't disagree with true praise and worship... and I feel it helped bring several people "more in tune" with what praise and worship should be.

Robert N: YOU HAVE BEEN LIED TO. Read a little church history. From the beginning the church met on the first day of the week. Many Jewish Christians ALSO continued to participate in synagogue worship until they were kicked out of the synagogue. Paul often did this in an effort to teach Jews about Jesus. For instance:

Justin Martyr, 1st Apology, 156A.D. But Sunday is the day on which we all hold our common assembly, because it is the first day on which God, having wrought a change in the darkness and matter, made the world; and Jesus Christ our Saviour on the same day rose from the dead.

Tertullian, An answer to the Jews, c.200A.D. In fine, let him who contends that the Sabbath is still to be observed as a balm of salvation, and circumcision on the eighth day because of the threat of death, teach us that, for the time past, righteous men kept the Sabbath, or practised circumcision, and were thus rendered "friends of God."

I believe if you find a good bible study group within the Catholic Church, you will not have to go to the other church. Unless you enjoy the fellowship. This is what has drawn so many of us Catholics to these churches. But the Catholic churches are getting better at this and are offering more study groups.

the two denominations have differences,as you have observed, but you can find many common points in both doctrines, depending on where you live you may even find a roman catholic variant that is closer in feeling/expressions to the born again church.at one time there was a charismatic movement within the catholic church.

If you like going to both Churches, do so because you will learn more as each has different ways of teaching you about the Christian belief.

It also shows that you aren't just a blind follower of either church, and that you respect both and can grow in both.

I know people who come to a spiritual service after a church service, and they are more comfortable in their knowledge and beliefs than most minsters I debate with.

So be complete

Why attend both?
Go to the church where you feel your spiritual needs are met.
I was raised catholic and left that religion because there were way to many contradicitions with the Bible, but hey that was just me.
God Bless

It is okay to go to both churches! Eventually God will lead you to one or the other! I wish you God's blessings!

Do whatever you feel comfortable with. Normal means just what most do. Personally go where you feel called and if that is both so be it.

All G-D wants is you being agreeable to be in obedience to him . And as long as you keep a day that he didn't call for, you show him disrespect there are millions just like you out there.
