most women love the idea of men remembering all special occasions, moments, little things said etc etc but not all men are into that. as you have only been dating for several months, give the guy a chance to get into that stuff. in the meantime, remember his birthday and make him feel good as it's not only all about you, it's about him too.

It's better ot to argue. There's a reason for his forgetfulness and behavior, which you describe as "childish". I don't know his health history, but it could be Alzheimers - a doctor would have to run tests, etc. to diagnose. Your grandfather may be aware of his forgetting things and doesn't understand what is happening. This would be scary to anyone. If your aunts are arguing with your grandfather, it won't do a bit of good. Most people are in denial or a panic when they see that things are not going well with a family member. They have to figure out what to do for themselves and stop arguing. They may have to make bigger, more difficult decisions soon, and they need to be on the same page.

It could very well be a bad sign. I'm forgetfull, but if Salma Hayek told me her birthay, you best believe I'd recall it or write it down all over the place so I don't forget! Put this on file as a big red flag and continue to observe his actions. He may be inconsiderate, and if it becomes obvious through his actions, you may need to consider finding a new guy.

Men can be very forgetful. My husband while present for the birth of our oldest child, middle child still cannot remember their birthdays without a reminder. He gets their dates confused. My youngest he remembers (she is 1 day after his brother and 2 days before mine).
