Tina was the most intelligent person I knew, and the most descent. She needed a surgery that I had a vet perform, but she got really sick after it and I had to go on a trip I could not cancel, I didn't make it back on time, I was 12 hours late. I was the one that decided the surgery date, and I'm her "owner" at home, there r other members of my family at home but she was mine, and I wasn't there when she died because of the surgery I decided. She was going to be 10 last month, I've had her since she was 2 weeks old.

I am very sorry that you lost her.

I can only say that you had her for 10 years.

You gave her love and took care of her. Time is precious and you should know she felt loved and one event should not make you feel guilty. She loved you to and I am sure she would rather not have her remembered or live in pain or suffering.

all my wishes are with you.

I'm so sorry about Tina. It wasn't your fault and if she needed the surgery then it had to be done. Don't beat yourself up over it. And yes, you gave her a wonderful life and she knows it and loves you for it. The other members were there with her. Most times when a pet dies they go to sleep and that is it. I'm sorry.

Go ahead and mourn, you did what you were told was best for her--to have surgery, and nobody couldve foreseen that she wouldve gotten sick afterwards and die, right? Or else you wouldnt have gone on your trip---so it's not like you did it on purpose. She won't forgive you in the sense that she'll come down on a cloud with harps playing in the background, but she KNOWS, NOW, so don't beat yourself up about it.
You'll be OK. But if someone sends you a "Rainbow Bridge" card, don't open it, you'll need a ton of kleenex if you read it!!!

You kinda confused me when you said she was a person and that a vet did surgery, but now that I understand. I am sure she knew you did what was best for her. You gave her a good life so dont beat yourself up.

Yes she will forgive you. You obviously didnt want her to die, and Im sure she knows that. It wasnt your fault that a surgery went wrong. Those kinds of things happen. Im very sorry for your loss, and I hope everything turns our okay.

you did the best you could. don't think "what if". tina knew you loved her, and you know you did her as well, so leave it at that. you were lucky enough to have a pet for ten long years, some of us lose our beloved pets at a much younger age.....my heart is with you and your loss here....
