I think Europe is the most non-believing continent in the world. France I believe takes the cake for the country, just a guess though.

If you take out all the Muslim countries AND the USA, the rest of the world doesn't believe anymore in fairy tales.
Religions are hand-made stuff. Philosophy would probably provide a better guidance cause it doesn't tear the people apart...

history shows that man by nature, after being awed by an event, attributes the same to a higher being. then in more civilized societies, there are organizations that propagates religion, bringing more believers in relation to their convincing abilities. man then segregates the teachings and answers to that which is more appealing to him. thus, in answer to your question, knowing that religion is supposed to be an organized thing, the country that is the least religious would be a backward country with as little outside influence as possible, no colonizers....hmmmm....north korea?

I don't know for sure, I've heard from many sources that it's the Czech Republic. I'll go look it up.
Edit: Well it's 90% atheist according to Wikipedia, I think that just about wins the contest.

I agree with Japan. I think it is also the most highly educated country. There is probably a connection there.
