I had a cyst on my wrist that burst today and was wondering if it was okay. I am still going to go see a doctor about it.

It is absolutely O.K. The so called Ganglion cyst's usual treatment is the spontaneous rupture. Sometimes back it is used to be called "Bible Treatment" because there used to be very large and heavy bible in the Churches. The hand was put in the middle of the book and then the book forcibly shut thus crushing the cyst. Basically gnaglion cyst is collection of excessive synovial fluid caught in the synovial membrane. It is a jelly like material. After rupture it usually disapper and do not recur

You should be ok, make sure and keep your appt with the Dr. I had one removed from my wrist and 2 years later another came so I went to the best dr. I coul find and had it removed. He did a great job the scar is barely there and that was 5 years ago.

should be ok. years ago the doctor used to advise patients to bash it with a book to burst it but that's no longer advisable. they sually go away on their own. it's just fatty tissue.

Actually, that is what you want it to do. Use warm compresses and go to the doctor as planned.
