When people say dont snack between meals they're wrong. If you have a light nibble between (eg. nuts, fruit) is fine otherwise your blood suger levels will drop and you'll crave things sweet (eg. chocolate)
Plenty of water is a good thing as it helps reduce appetite, rid water retention and helps to stabilise your metabolism.
Try these ideas for lunch:
*Chicken Salad in a whole-wheat pita
*Baked potato with salsa, bacon and corn
*Pita with ham, tomatoes and mustard
*Romaine Lettuce Salad with chicken breast or turkey, Italian dressing and croutons
Pita bread is tasty and it would be better than bread for you as its not grainy.

Grilled chicken sandwich on whole wheat bread. Very yummy, also a special K bar is good on the side. I have found salads don't work too well to pack, but you can try it if you want. Also, a bag of grapes or strawberries is really good, or carrots and even some ranch to dip them in. The main thing is, pack your lunch! Even if you're going to bring a pb & j sandwich, it's much healthier than buying lunch, whether it's at school or the burger joint across from your office.

There are different snacks that are at almost any grocery store called 100 calorie packs. They are by Nabisco and are usually in the cookie/cracker isle. Of course fruit and vegetables are the best but of course with braces, are not always the best. There are frozen meals that are lower in fat but needs a microwave.

This is what I have for lunch every day. It has around 300 calories and is filling and nutritious:
~5 oz. deli sliced turkey
~8 oz. (1 cup) fat-free milk
~one large apple (about 2 per pound)
Sometimes I add a whole wheat pita bread, which, in the brand I eat, is 140 calories.

bake or broil chicken breasts the night before. Vegetables, fruits and ultra lean red meat. Stay away from alot of bread and yeast products. I helped a friend with her diet and she lost quite a few pounds. Don't ask me how many. She won't tell me. She is a woman. LOL

you just have to eat veggies during lunch time...and remember to lose some weight just eat when you're hungry, try to avoid in between meals...maybe you could try 6 to 6...you eat 6am until 6pm then after that try not to eat anymore because during night time we burn less calories....and during your free time try to have some brisk walking on the park....t.c.

lettuce, corn, potato, and your favorite dressing plus any other good veggies. Salads are always good too.
