First of all you need to watch what your trying to mate with.
That was a female you try-ed to jump that's why they threw you out. So no that was not wrong. And don't let one try stop you go back and try it again. But not so fast you need a game plan because you need to jump a male this time you know how them females are can't touch them.Just a little hint the males are much larger and you need the dominant one i think you may find him laying under the shade tree
