Typically, you flip the card over to see if a signature is on the back in the signature portion of the card. If it says Please See ID then you would ask the person handing you the credit card to see their ID to verify they are who they claim they are. A drivers license or a military ID would be acceptable in most instances.

part of having a credit card is adhering to the card agreement. n your contract if it says sign the back ,please see id you are ok, but you agreed to the terms of the card and I bet anything it says sign back of card. Most likely you will be ok, but you are in violation. Bankrate.com. says the card is invalid if not signed.

only if my register tells me to. If card says See ID or CID or not signed, I ask for license.
