I dont know how often I should wash my hair. I could either do it every other day or everyday, but im afraid if i wash it every other day it will get oily and gross. but when i do it everyday, it gets dried out and kinda frizzy and tangly. I usually wash it every day because im afraid it will get gross. How often do you ladies wash your hair?

Oh also i have really long (below my boob), THICK hair. And i am 15, so i dont know if this has anything to do with it, but maybe 15 year olds have more oily hair? i dont know, my hair isnt super oily. but if i go 2-3 days without washing it, it will get gross. and i also use a shine serum when my hair is wet, is it ok to leave it in for a day or two without washing it out?

I wash mine every other day, I get perms and it dries it out, on the days I don't wash it, I spray it with water and body spray to freshen it up. I also use a leave in conditioner on the ends. Hope this helps.

It depends on the texture of your hair on how often it should be washed.

If you have extremely oily hair then wash it every day.
If you have dry hair then every other day or twice a week.

And a good way to keep your hair from being all dried out at the ends is........just scrub the roots of your hair when washing it, don't scrub the middle or ends. Just let the shampoo run down your hair and lightly wash it.

My little girl is 6 and she has hair past her butt and I have to wash hers at least every other night but I use a gentle shampoo and then use GARNIER FRUCTIS, leave in conditioning cream, for frizzy, dry or unmanageable hair. Her hair is absolutely gorgeous and has NO split ends or frizzies.

I have hair to my waist and I do the same with my hair. Mine is extremely dry and the garnier fructis really works on mine also.

It also helps with the tangles after washing and the next morning. Every time I brush her hair I use a little dab of this stuff and it takes the tangles out.
We also use a wide tooth comb on our hair. Brushes will break off your hair and make it look frizzy.

Oh and I NEVER use a blow dryer on our hair. It is air dried. Blow drying your hair is really bad for it.

Hope some of this helps.

Depends on whether I have time. I take a shower everyday but if it's late then I won't wash my hair. I could wash my hair 3 days in a row and then skip a day. I have to blow dry it and sometimes when it's late, I'm just too lazy which results in me not washing it. But I do it at least every other day though. And once a week, I use the Avon Dry Ends Serum on the ends of my hair. It keeps them from breaking and splitting. It's pretty nice and cheap too! A bottle will last forever.....

I wash mine every other day. If I wash every day it gets really dry. Plus once every two weeks I wash my hair with a clarifying shampoo which washes out all the stuff you use on your hair. Whatever products you use it builds up in your hair and that just makes your hair feel really yucky. That might be the answer. Try a clarifying shampoo with the accompanying conditioner. Use only a dime size of the conditioner. Then change the shampoo that you normally use.

I'm 38 and I have hair to my waist. It was down to my butt, but i cut it some. It's very very thick. I wash it 1-2 times a week and I use frizz ease or citre shine when necessary in between shampoos and i use the Tres Semme or Paul Mitchell leave in conditioners. Another thing, never brush/comb it unless its dry and never use heat. I hardly have any splits and rarely get hair cuts.

One other thing to keep in mind is cut down on anything with refined flour or sugar or polyunsaturated fats. Stick to animal fats (read atkins diet to understand more about how to eat for your body). And whole foods.

Oh...did I mention I used to be a licensed cosmetologist (fancy word for hair-stylist)?

It varies. Most of the time I wash everyday. What works best for me is:

An Hour before I go to Bed, I take a Shower.

Then Right before I go to sleep, I put my hair in a low loose ponytail.

I wake up and my hair is perfectly shiny!

I am guessing this happens because it replenishes some of it's oils every night and yet it stays clean in the low ponytail. But it comes out perfect. Hope this works for you!

I'm 36 and I have to wash my hair every day or it gets really greasy-looking. If yours gets frizzy and tangly, be sure and use a good conditioning shampoo and conditioner...maybe even a leave-in conditioner like Nexxus Humectress.

I wash my hair every other day. If you have oily hair try Assie Dual Shampoo For all types of hair. It has a root degreeser in it and helps the frizzies as well.

It sounds like you need to find a better shampoo. Get a moisturizing shampoo, my hair does the same thing, and then you might be able to wash it every other day, because if you wash it too much it can actually damage it!

I have thin hair and I wash it everyother day becuase everyday will cause it to break off and fry. It's good to let your hair have some natural oils. It's summer time, if it looks gross through it up in a pony tail or some up do.
