Anyone know the qualifications for WIC but most importantly, what is covered under wic, what do you get? What are some programs that can help women who are pregnant- financial help-for clothes or baby items.

WIC is a government program for Women Infants and Children. It provides formula and food to families that qualify according to thier income level. There are some forms to fill out, and the initial visit takes about two hours. After that you pick up vouchers at the local office. You can often get clothes and baby items from local churches and charities. This is not a hand out. When times are financially better for you, just pay the favor forward. God bless you and the little one.

WIC is a program that will help pregnant women with food, you get cheese, milk, cereal, juice peanut butter and eggs (and sometimes Boost if the woman needs it), once the baby is born, they will allow you to stay on till the child is 5. They will cover all the foods listed plus baby formula if needed.

I am on WIC, WomenInfants and Children. And it really helps. The state that you live in provide milk, eggs, cheese, juice, cereal, formula, infant cereal, infant juice. It really is amazing. The qualifications are that you are either pregnant or you must have a child under the age of 6( age may differ from state to state.) And that's it. You can be married. What other kind of stuff are you looking for exactly? tamrasluv@yahoo.com. I am more than willing to help you get help....

The only thing WIC provides is food and parenting classes. It is based upon your income, how many people are in your family. They give you vouchers and you can only use them on the weeks designated.
Honestly, WIC isn't worth the time they make you spend sitting around and waiting for a few dollars worth of food.
