I took a easy Alegebra 2 class last school year and my teacher didn't do so good. He was too kind and boosted my grade up even though I tried. What should I expect going into Pre Cal? Is it going to be really hard that I may fail because I'm not smart enough. I do my best, but sometime these teachers show no mercy and give hard work. I want to know the hard parts of this subject.

more of what you learned in algebra 2 going into more depth; lot of formulas to learn and memorize; I disagree that it's harder than calc. Calc is the application of all that you leaned in Pre-cal. If you're afraid you won't do well maybe you should try taking Statistics instead. A lot of schools offer this class as an alternative to Pre-cal and often students that didn't do well in Algebra do just fine in Stat.

From the things you state, I'd say don't take it. There is no school that requires you to take honors pre-calc. It is an elective. Take something else. If you don't understand algebra very well, you'll never get through pre-calc, much less honors pre-calc. Take something else. Something you're interested in. Maybe a whole new world will open up to you!

Pre Calc is harder than calculus. All those series and sequences. Very abstract.
