I imagine, if illegals got every thing they wanted, they would become undesirable to employers, and then companies would hire their " tax paying" counterparts and would want to see the illegals out of the country ASAP. However this could have a devestating blow to our economy at the same time.

You know what I think, CloneC., I think once they get everything they want, they will just demand more and more. I don't think that it's a good idea to cave in to the demands of criminals. When do Americans come first in our OWN COUNTRY?!!

It's called 'killing the golden goose'. For decades, before the National Temper Tantrum, mexicans and other illegal aliens were quietly tolerated due to recognition of the fact that they came from conditions of financial duress and that they needed an economic opportunity. Well, things have now progressed(regressed?) to the point where they don't just want one bite, they'd like the full enchilada platter, and you don't mind giving up your chair, do you? LOL It's gotten belligerent, and the core problem remains that they need to take all that energy and invest it in improving their own country, and our politicians/representatives/whathaveyou need to realize that we/they have been successfully 'played', and that some policy reforms are in order if we're ever going to see the end of things like deficit spending. 'Oh, you POOR dear' policy doesn't work in a world where some people deliberately starve out their people and build themselves mega-mansions simultaneously.

Given, life's no bowl of cherries in Mexico and other countries,
but it COULD be a whole lot better if they actually stood up and went to vote in their elections, that kind of thing. Let's have a call for some domestic reforms in all countries concerned, and a good start for that would be enforcing immigration laws for a change. I mean, hey, at the end of the day, Congress is going to do whatever they finally decide, which so far is 'nothing', and ultimately the states are going to end up absorbing the consequences be they positive or negative, most likely negative by all indications, meaning that the end result is going to be more prisons, more jails, more courthouses, more schools, and yes, higher taxes on you, me, and everyone else concerned.
Politicians are unfortunately very proficient at screwing the voting public, partly by only putting 'token' issues on the ballot etc.
But, maybe in the future, as accountability becomes a bigger and bigger factor, and more people decide to be a little more vocal about their general displeasure with the status quo, they'll have to do more than turn a tin ear to the critics. Illegal immigration has had a negative impact in a lot of states, someone REALLY does need to make a decision on all of this, and it needs to happen sooner, rather than later. That's what they get paid to do, ultimately, make decisions, well, we're waiting...meanwhile,
the polls(for what they're worth) demonstrate a diminution in the average american standard of living, and that's borne out in unemployment numbers in some areas.

I personally don't care for the idea that Mexico's got a 'free pass' to come and go into our country basically at wil. I don't think that we're anywhere close to having the same legal system, respect for the law, anything like that, I think in Mexico there's such a thing as 'violent opportunism', meaning that things like petty muggings are tolerated, and while we're debating the merits
of our immigration policy, no doubt they've got 'boiler rooms' in Mexico that are busily planning to 'e-mug' the whole country.
The border thing with Mexico is going to ultimately boil down to vast improvements in how the law is enforced, to prevent gangs, crime, drugs, the whole show, there's really a lot of merit for finishing the fence. I have no quarrel with someone trying to
better themselves, but what we're talking about here is utter stupidity. And, the longer Congress waits to deal with this, the worse the problem is going to get. It's up to them, I suppose, here's hoping they don't drag it on too long...

I don't think mass deportation would negatively impact the economy at all. How is it good for the economy to have 12 million people receiving taxpayer dollars via welfare, public schools, hospitals, driving up the crime rate, all while paying almost no taxes in return?

If they are such a boon to our economy then why haven't products from industries that employ illegals become cheaper? Why aren't fruit and veggies cheaper? Why isn't fresh meat cheaper? Why aren't housing and construction costs lower?

And the congress did not raise mimium wadge? What is that about? bring in more people that will work for poverty wadges. Raise Mimuim Wadge NOW! and build the WALL! drugs, aliens, terroist, stop them at the border NOW! Illegal Means just that! Ship them to the other side of the newly constructed wall and invite them to work for $10.00 a day in there country. High school kids will not clean tables at restrauants? It was ok for us at $1.75 an hour. Get Minium wadge correct and the economy will follow.

They are pretty much getting everything they want, pulling down the US Flag, unlimited benefits: welfare, healthcare, free education etc. Increasing their racist groups such as La Raza, MEChA, and La Voz to name just a few.

Blocking all attempts of the US to assert its authority over its own borders.

30 Million already here leeching off us and more herds moving north all the time.

Things are going pretty much to their satisfaction.

Illegals should have no rights in this country period. And any employer who hires them should be severely punished.

Do you cal tax-paying a "devastating blow to US economy"?!?
Why are you so stupid?
Getting rid of 12 mln good workers AND consumers would be the real blow!Plus, you'll make people who've worked hard, paid taxes and DIDN'T marry for papers hate US like hell. Is that what you want?
None of us lives off welfare. Open your eyes!
