is there anyway to change the pixel density of pictures? I saved pictures from the internet and they are very small, i want to make one my background but since its so small, when i try to stretch it it looks bad, and i know i can tile it but i want to be able to stretch it with it looking good. Will changing the pixel density help this and how can i do it? I have Photoshop, if you can using that program. THank you.

The pics on the internet are purposely kept small to make them load faster. There are not enough pixels there to stretch it big enough for wallpaper.

You can try Photoshop Image Size, but if you get it big enough, it will be blurry. There is no way to invent enough pixels when you start out too small.

Look for a wallpaper library on the Net. These are big enough images (have enough pixels) to do what you want.

Good Luck

You can use Photoshop to calculate in-between pixels, but this usually doesn't achieve the desired result - you'll just end up with a very soft image instead of a pixelated image.
If you want to try it, here are the steps:
* Open the picture in Photoshop,
* Go to the menu option Image --> Image size.
* Set the image width to whatever your screen resolution is. When you keep the aspect ratio locked, you'll see that Photoshop automatically re-calculates the height.
* In that same window, select Resample with Bicubic Smoother.
* Click on OK
* Select menu option Save As. Select jpg, and give the picture a new name.
