The next step is to burn the iso to CD. If you're burning it on Windows, take care. Whatever burning app you use, make sure -- make absolutely sure! -- that you choose the appropriate option to "Burn CD from image.." or "Burn CD from ISO..."

The most common problem beginners have trying to install Linux is a CD that won't boot. And the cause is often that the burning app copied the iso to the CD as an ordinary file rather than as a byte-for-byte image.

Anyhow, once you have the CD, you'll need an open disk partition to install it on. If yo have no free partitons, you'll have to resize an existing partition, or add a second hard drive.

Once you have the CD and the free partiton, insert the CD, reboot, and follow the directions.

Good luck.

Burn the .ISO as an image and not as a data file. Then reboot into the BIOS and change the boot order so the cd rom drive boots first. then save the changes then the system will reboot and the install process will begin.

You have to burn the .iso to a CD.

Then you put the CD into your computer and it should autorun and tell you what to do next.

You need to to have a CD Burner in your computer and software such as Nero or Easy CD creator.
If you dont have someone else burn it to a CD for you.
