he went out last night with friends. i was at work and i forgot to call and make sure he got home ok even though i told him i would. he's not the type to not call all day (very much the opposite),even when he's upset. i am really worried and thinking all kinds of bad things should i like call hospitals or something??? or should i stop being so overprotective?

your feelings are very natural and i can understand so much the pains that you might be going through right now. I used to have that with my boyfriend as well. It threw itself right back in my face. When i used to question why he didnt call and all that. He didnt like it , he considered it nagging. Some men just dont get that we worry sometimes. But i also noticed that he did that because he was starting to pull away from me. If this is the first time its happened, then i guess give him a chance to explain himself. But if the phone calls become less and less ...over a period of time ... then something is wrong.

you could have a certain disorder (i forgot the exact name) where you worry to much. the kind of person who would call the emergency rooms if someone was late to meet you. (only someone who you really care about) this could be a problem cause it cna ultimately lead to "clinging" and that freaks us out. but this is only the most extreme case where the person constantly does it, so this is probably not you. you have every right to worry but if you are worrying throughout the night, then you should talk to a doctor. and you should talk to your boyfriend saying that he should call you on a regular basis becuase "you worry about him" (make sure you say that to him. good luck.

Trust is very important in a relationship if he has gone completely against his character then by all means start calling around .. something "could" be keeping him busy then again he could have gotten himself in a jam ...

Best of Luck to you

Go see his friends. Demand they tell you where he is and who he is with. Dump the loser after you find out he is cheating on you.
