I think this guy really wants you to be his girlfriend yet he can't afford having one because of his work situation. He'd wanna have a girlfriend and spoil her and stuff.

I just got out of the Corps a few months ago. It common knowledge that drill instructors have the highest divorce rates in the entire Marine Corps, which is pretty horrible. I wish that I could remember the exact figures, however, just know that his occupation puts an enormous amount of stress on relationships of all kinds.
I'm sure that he knows this, which is why it sounds like he likes you and feels like you deserve to know that any official relationship with you is going to require a tremendous amount of effort on both parts if it's going to have any chance of being successful.

Hope that this helps,
Nicholas

i think he is saying he wont consider you a girlfriend unless you understand that he works alot and travels so most of the time you will get text messages or phones calls and when he is available he will see you if you can live with that then he is game to say your his girl

hes saying the total opposite of wanting you as a girlfriend. hes trying to push you away because he feels work will get in the way which that probably will be the case. what you should do i (and if your willing to go through this and it wont be easy)what you should do i, get even closer with him both physically and mentally. because he can be testing you. testing your feelings towards him. so you should go for this but then again he might not have time for you and you have to ask yourself that question if your willing to put up with it. good luck

He WAS saying, "I'm not up for the real effort of being a boyfriend or any kind of commitment. You're good enough to hook up with but don't expect anything from me." I'm a Navy vet, my son is in Army bootcamp. His father was a Marine. Trust me darlin, he's a player. Move on, clearly you deserve much better. Maybe one day he'll grow up.

Sorry but your girlfriend is wrong. He is trying to tell you, nicely, that he doesn't have time for a girlfriend right now. Take the hint and let him go. If it's meant to be, it will happen regardless.

i agree with the first answerer. he is saying that his job is demanding and that he will not always be there as much as you would want him to. if you are a sensitive person and you get very attached, maybe this is not the right relationship for you. but if you are okay with "long distance" relationship than it will work out great. he likes you and he wants to be with you, he was just letting you know how it was going to be if you were to be his girlfriend.

He just told you in a nice way that he doesn't want a girlfriend right now because his job keeps him too busy. Stop jumping to conclusions so fast.

He's being nice and saying look I haven't the time as of right now, but I like you. I don't know what to do. I wanna be with you but my job is taking me places and I don't want to hurt you.

he lyks u but afraid that once u become together u myt expect things from him that he cant give, he is hinting that he want a woman who can give him space and at the same time asking u if u can give give him ur trust if he is away. it shows when he said the "it's lyk what i do w/ u...."so ur real prob would be if u can accept that kind of commitment.
