Day after day
I'm more confused
So I look for the light
In the pouring rain
You know that's a game
That I hate to lose
I'm feelin' the strain,
Ain't it a shame

Oh, give me the beat, boys,
And free my soul
I wanna get lost
In your rock and roll
And drift away
Oh, give me the beat, boys,
And free my soul
I wanna get lost
In your rock and roll
And drift away

Beginning to think
That I'm wastin' time
I don't understand
The things I do
The world outside
Looks so unkind
I'm countin' on you
To carry me through

And when my mind is free
You know a melody
Can move me
And when I'm feelin' blue
The guitar's comin' through
To soothe me
Thanks for the joy
That you've given me
I want you to know
I believe in your song
Rhythm and rhyme
And harmony
You help me along
Makin' me strong

Drift Away--Dobie Gray. My understanding of it is that the gods came to earth many millions, even billions of years ago. Undoubtedly they had music as a part of their culture. After they created man, they taught ancient people how to play music.

Music is very deceptive, and makes you FEEL great when things are down, but doesn't deal with reality. It is like a great big pacifier for those who are need it. In the Bible music is mostly associated with evil, as when the Israelites were worshiping the golden calf, and the Bible records Moses condemning them for singing. It is an entirely earthly thing created by physical vocal cords and musical vibrations. God tell us to set our minds on things above, not on things on this earth. It is one of the 4 signs that the Bible says will accompany the apostate church in the end times.
Music is never mentioned in the Bible in the spiritual world until people arrive there. Angels never sing. There is no music ever mentioned in Heaven.

track is one in all God’s superb presents to mankind. This present, which has existed because of the fact that earlier the start of creation, has the flexibility to delivery the listener to heavenly places and to call lost souls… track is a wonderful present. track is an artwork type whose medium is sound and silence. track makes human beings relax, happier, kinder, gentler, extra staid and actual looking..

This is one of my favorite songs. I still remember the first day I ever heard that song, when it was new and came on the radio. I was on my way home from work.

The one time we happened to go out to Los Angeles to visit our godson when he had his first communion, we went to the Jay Leno show, and Dobie Gray was the musical guest on that show. That was wonderful.

To answer your first question, music is definitely a gift from God. It is a major part of my life.

No, music comes from within us, it is a part of being human.

I got this hunch about you and me:
None of us are ready
for a world without melody.
Melody is the key,
it's the surest way
to unlock your individuality.
Melody is the key,
it'll set you free!
