I once asked not so long ago in another section. Why is that every time a country gives their back at God it gets worst, and many people responded to me asking if I was crazy, who told me that, that in Japan people don't believe in God and they are doing fine as well as India and China.

People relate prosperity with money and forget about everything else. What about the morals of a country. The mental health? Do you think the world is doing well morally and emotionally? What is the cause of all this bad things that occur in our society? The Devil can also hide behind money and power also.

Mass Brain, you crearly didnt got my point. I am not saying that prosperity isnt bad, but also MORALS are important. Sometimes people give more importance to money and power instead of being in peace with God, and thats when violence, homicide, suicide, rape, abuse comes.

Your philosophy is linking economic success to religion and it is not so. Your faith in God is not related to prosperity but work ethics and the morality is from culture. I am an American living in China and though I am Buddhist, most of my friends have no professed religion; however we do believe that when we go to work, we really earn our pay and many volunteer to stay late or even return to the office on week-ends to ensure the prosperity of the company, and thusly our own future. Morality is a cultural thing and what you see today is the result of 'the new freedom' occurring after the Korean War, the 'hippie' generation and a decline in morality from being a 'loose' society. We have many customs and traditions here that guide people in their lives and these are not linked to religion, but are simply things that society expects of us. We have social problems too, but of a different nature. You hold up India as a strong nation but in truth, it is a very corrupt country with a two-faced economy...the trendy one you read about, and the poverty level masses. Japan is very stable with the US spending a billion dollars a day there and Japanese slowly buying up the major assets of the US...they own Hawaii and most of Los Angeles, and China is succeeding in international relations whereas the US is failing. We may be Godless in your eyes, but we do believe in the idea that hard work and our culture is successful where prayers fail.

Whats wrong with finally having peace of mind? Why are successful people made to feel guilty? If a country is economically successful and they aren't supressing anyone to be that way then let them forget about things. They've earned the right to.

It is simply human nature to get greedy, and unappreciative. The trouble comes when we allow greed or lust to rule our lives, and forget about God. All people, as well as all nations will face the judgment of God. America has become greedy, morally corrupt, fat and sassy. Can the judgment of God be far away?
