in the twn i live in its expencive , it doesnt include meals and its about 475.00 a month , for one kindergardner , it is more realiable than a babysitter , but some people have sure found a way to take advantage of this situation , i looked around and found some programs that are alot less and follow a better set up than day cares , look around the town you live in you will find something agreeable

This definitely varies... In another town I paid 125 a week with very strict hours and while meals were included- the parents brought 1 snack per week for all the kids. Currently I only pay 100 a week for all-inclusive with extended hours (i was very excited to find this person)! Those are both for home based licensed (registered with the state) ladies.
I have two friends that aren't registered and they charge 100 for an infant and only 75 a week for a toddler!
Daycares wanted from 95 to 170 per week. And the cheap school wanted 560 per month and meals were extra. It feels expensive cause that's more than a car payment, but these people are not making much money after meals, supplies, and utilities. I think it's more important to find someone your child does well with than the cost. It just happened to work out for me ;)

I know our area (state) pays $25.00 a day to certified homes.
I know three people who use in home care and they pay $25.00. $25.00 and the other pays $20.00 a day.
One of the Homes charges $15.00 a day but the parent pays $25.00 because they feal its fare.
The state pays $25.00 a day to centers in our area (state).
The centers charge $25.00 to$45.00 a day .
The centers offer a schedual with activities throughout the day plus the state requies that the meals be in a certain nutritional guide line. Also a required (by state ) 2 hour nap time is included. My girlfriend just started a center in another state and its pretty much the same as here only twice as expensive .
The in home care is less constructive but the personal one on one time is much greater . This probably depends on the care giver.

I pay $20 a day for my 14 month old son to go to a licensed in-home daycare (a lady that runs a daycare in her home). When he reaches 2 she charges $15 a day. It includes curriculum, meals, snacks, drinks, and wipes.

The two traditional daycare facilities nearest my home are about $25-28 per day, for tots over two years old, and they do include day trips and meals. The Montessori pre-school is hella expensive, about $10 an hour, and does not include meals.
We live in Northern Nevada.

At the center I work at (in Michigan) its about $700 a month for age 2-5 full time and about $550 for under 27 hours a week and $900 for infants full time. That includes morning and afternoon snack and a curriculum. Parents provide lunch, diapers and wipes.

I work at a daycare in a small town, It varies by age for infants it is $30.00 a day for 2-5 yrs. it is 27.50 a day. They pay regardless if they are there or not. A regular home is approx. $16.00 a day, Meals are included with both, at the daycare where I teach, We do tons of activities and work very closely with the children, they are at a great advantage going into kindergarten.

my son is at a very good daycare/preschool in AZ. I pay $29 a day & he's 2.5. It includes meals & a really good curriculum. He's doing great in school & is happy.
His last daycare he was in 4 days a week and I think I was paying $130, they were not the best though.
