It isn't how much you weigh, but how toned you are. At your height, you sound thin with only 130 lbs going on. If you are all toned up, you will have more weight though, because muscle weighs more than fat. I used to be a seriously olympically toned 125 lbs, at 5'3, and I looked like a stick with small boobs, no butt, lol. I sounded like I weighed a lot and most people didn't believe me on my wieght, it was all toned up serious muscle, but not body builder kind of muscle, just awesomely toned.

It isn't the weight that is important, but the tone your muscle has and how it looks in the right clothes for you.

After I had kids, lol, I did get some left over fat in my butt, and I am cool with that, since I am not so flatt butted anymore, got something to shake when I dance.

Body mass index (BMI) is a measure of body fat based on height and weight that applies to both adult men and women.

BMI Categories:

* Underweight = <18.5
* Normal weight = 18.5-24.9
* Overweight = 25-29.9
* Obesity = BMI of 30 or greater

At 5'8 and 130lbs your BMI is 19.8
that is right on the lower end of normal weight. If you lose any more body fat you will be underweight.

If you are feeling a little flabby try doing strength training 3 or 4 times a week. This will help burn fat and build muscle making you look toned and sleek.

You are a tall and young. You are at a reasonable weight for your height. Diets are bad for you. How about not eating junk food and looking into a ballanced diet with a doctor. All the food groups. Learn about good fats, lean proteins and good carbs. Learn about exercise and what is good. How about working on getting toned and working on converting to muscle and not worrying about a number. A good lifestyle is what matters and not what you weigh. It matters what your body is composed of. If you are stong and lean you will also look great and be happy. A multivitam is helpful, but do not get into eating foods out of cans eat real foods.

Talk to your primary care doctor about where to get this information and if they can send you to a registered dietian for this information. They can teach you about serving sizes. Just do not eat empty calories like chips, french fires and sodas. I did this when I was your age along with biking, swimming and dance (ballet and jazz dance) I was very strong thin and lean. I was very healthy as well. I ate, but I did not eat junk. I felt great and looked great. My body was mostly muscle. Ignore people that make fun of you because you do not eat junk food they are just jealous. Do not diet just eat healthy. Get dairy, protein, vegtables, good fats like from avacados, olives, olive oil never fried stuff, eat whole grained bread, brown rice. Work on eating fish, soy products, lean chicken, turkey and things like that. Go for grilled and baked products without skin. Avoid oily products that are breaded and friend. A dietian will tell you more. Usually school lunches are horrible fo you. In a few cases they are okay. Fast food is horrible. Pack your own lunch. The best bet is to see a dietian. Eat frut and vegtables and make sure to eat food from all the groups just the healthy ones. Try to avoid the processed ones. Try to see if you can get your family to eat healthy at home and exercise. Your weight seems fine however, but we can allways eat well and exercise. Remember a sedintary skinny person with a layer of fat is unhealty.

If you worry about your weight at this young of age now, when you get older you could have eating disorders and medical problems from the disorders. Ask your family doctor if you think you are fat, your height is fine at the weight you posted, if you feel uncomfortable then loose the weight the proper way.

130 sounds good. I am 5foot 8inches too and I weigh 144. I also wear a size 7/8 jean so I don't think you are too big.

You are fine....guys don't like boney girls...they like a little something. At 5'8" and 130 you are just fine. Stop looking at the magazines....it's depressing and wrong. Women don't normally look like those models. They are airbrushed and starved. Stay how you are.

No I think you are fine the way you are.
Make sure you eat right and get some exercise. Your weight is perfectly fine for your body size.
Please don't obsess about this. Healthy is more than just being really skinny.

Nope, at your height and weight you are perfect. AND what do you care about what some guy thinks. If you are confident in who you are and your self image, it will translate to everybody and make you more desirable to be around.

My daughter is an athletic 6'0" and 180lbs...she is confident and happy and everybody loves her including the boys.

YOU GO girl...you are perfect.
