They have never hit a woman are always the ones that end up doing it (and usually having a history of it)? I mean guys who state that without context, just out of nowhere,as if listing their good qualities. Have you ever noticed that? Or am I the only one who's ever observed this?
BTW...no problems here, just a thought that struck me.

It's really when a guy has done something like that and he knows it's wrong that he'll tell you up front those aren't his intentions; he wishes he could take it back, but if he got the chance to start over, it'd happen again, because it's not a problem with whatever woman it is that brings about hitting. It's about how his parents raised him and about his lack of self-control. Whe he says, "I would never hit a girl," what he's actually saying is, "I'm sorry I did, and I don't want that to interfere with a relationship with you."

I have noticed the same thing.....also goes along with men who say they have never cheated (meaning they have never had actual sex) on their wives or gf. But in reality, they have cheated emotionally.
