Vick vaporub or my grand-mother used to put vinegar on the bite.
Both work for me!

Get a cotton ball and soak it good in rubbing alcohol. Rub the cotton ball on the itch, it will help. You may feel it stinging but after a while it will go away! Try it! I do this for my kids too.
