Would you date a guy younger than you? If so, how many years younger is your general limit?
Also: What do you think of a 16 year old girl dating a 14 year old guy? I myself think that's a bit young...
Just wondering what your opinions are.

I met this boy a few weeks ago and he has a huge crush on me. Yes, he is too young. No, I'm not really interested in him. I just thought it would be fun to find out what you guys say!

For me, I like to go no younger than 6 months. As long as most of the time we can say we're the same age. (:

I have dated guys younger then me. My first child was by a boyfriend that was 4 years younger. He was obviously to young because he is a dead beat dad who lives 1200 miles from his own son. Not all younger guys are bad though and if you use protection or don't have sex at all it might not be as bad. As far as a 16 year old girl dating a 14 years old BOY is a little risky for the fact of it you are intinment then there will be the issue when the girl turns 17 it will be concidered stagitory rape. NOT GOOD.

I've always preferred older guys. Ten years older is great!! How young would I date a guy. I never really thought about it, but I guess maybe 35 and up.

It's odd how age works. 14 and 16 really are to young. At sixteen you can drive, work, etc. Most fourteen year olds are not mature. Yet, 20 and 22 is fine. Gives the younger one time to catch up :)

A lot depends on the two people involved. I actually dated a 14-year-old when I was 16-- off and on for three years. That was over 30 years ago, and we eventually broke up for good. It was a bit complicated because, although he was mature for his age and I was kind of naive for my age... when I reached 19, and leaning towards a permanent relationship, he had yet to sow his wild oats. I met a man who was ready for a permanent relationship, and eventually I broke up with the younger one and married the older one. It can work, but it is pretty tough. Girls generally mature faster than boys.

its about maturity level. If you are 16 and he is 14 and the two of you get along well. I dont see anything wrong with that. If you were an adult, there are laws against that type of thing. As for myself, i have dated someone 6 years younger than me. Didnt last long, he was pretending to be more mature, he couldnt keep up the act.

That would depend on how mature each of you are.
Girls tend to mature faster than guys, so 14 may be too young for a 16 year old girl. It just depends. I've dated guys more then 10 years younger than me, but I'm an adult. It's not as important an issue...lol

It'll be okay for me to date someone younger than me who's in their late 20's, maybe by 2-3 years like 27-30. That's my general limit. I wouldn't date someone who's my own age or older too by five years. My brother's ex-wife was two years younger than him (and the same age as me.) Now his current girlfriend is one year older than him and by one month too.

I don't think it's too young to date a 14 year old. When I went to high school, I've seen freshmen date juniors and senior and vice versa along with sophomores too and vice versa...

Don't forget that age doesn't really matter or makes a difference, as long as you like or love the person you're with.

At 16 she is too young to be too serious about any guy. So if when you say "dating" you mean just hanging out at the mall together, him being 14 or 15 isn't that big of a deal. I would be VERY concerned if the young lady is thinking she's looking for love, a meaningful relationship, or the risks of being sexually active.

OK that's 2 young. girls mature faster than boys. if a 16 year old girl is dating a boy 2 years younger than her, that would make his maturity level only at 12. so what's the point.

now if your my age and the guy is 2 years younger, no-body's going to notice.
