study a Tagalog-English dictionary (might nicely be discovered at bookstores), purchase and watch cd's with regard to the language and hear somebody who can communicate Tagalog and English to boot. Everytime he/she says a Tagalog sentence, ask what it potential.

Take a spanish class, so that you learn hands-on. I'd recommend some kind of adult college.

sure, i'm not Filipino, but i lived there for about 6 years and learned the language pretty well, but i don't speak it perfectly.
