I have a Nikon Coolpix 2100. It does not work. I do not want to throw it in the garbage because I hear that these things contain toxic chemicals and metals.
The question is - what should I do with it?
Can I take it someplace to be recycled?
Is there a website that will take my broken old camera and recycle it?

Thanks!

Try selling on eBay "as is", where you make it clear it is broken and charge a small price for it. Sometimes people buy for parts.

Take it along on your next trip and leave it lying around at the airport. Someone will steal it and it will become their problem. You can enjoy your trip with a clean conscience after that.
