Creed wasn't a Christian band.
Jessica Simpson tried to get signed as a Christian artist years ago but she isn't in the Christian music category.

Back when I was a Christian, I really enjoyed Steven Curtis Chapman -- even met him once. He is a good musician because he really IS a musician. He doesn't limit himself to one style or type of music -- his albums ranged from rap to rock to country and even included orchestrated instrumentals that he has written. I have kept 2 of his albums, and although I do not celebrate the Christian beliefs any longer, I still enjoy the quality of the music he produced. I believe he's won many many awards for his efforts.

P.S. Creed started out as a Christian band but there were problems within the group (i.e. the witness of some members) and they became mainstream.

You probably never heard of him, his name is Merrill Womack. He had a promising career and one day was severely burned in a private plane crash. He was badly disfigured. He eventually wrote a book and I think the name was "Trial By Fire." His voice is like fine wine. I could listen to him all day long, and guess what, I am not even Christian. That's how good he is!
