I have never been in another country and I'm just very curious. I know that some countries probably have something similar to what we have in America but what about in countries where the characters are very complicated? For example, China and Japan; don't they have hundreds of different characters? How do they make it work??

Hello, well, I'm Chinese-American, and have therefore visited China a few times in my lifetime. In China, they use the same keyboards that we use. You just have to type in the 'pin yin' and different characters that are listed pop up. You type in the corresponding number or click on the character you would like to type and then it appears on your screen. I am assuming they do pretty much the same thing in Japan. You can download Chinese computer writing programs here as well that let you do that. ^^

I know you wanted to know more about keyboards in Asian countries, but I have never been to any. When I was in Switzerland, I remember the keyboard being very similar. There was a degree symbol and a Euro symbol, being the different things. It was a typical Qwerty keyboard, but the "Y" and "B" had switched places on me (I was in a cyber cafe where I was using a computer).

I'm in Germany and I was wondering this one day so I went to a store and looked. Here it looks the same except they have a key for the Euro symbol instead of the dollar sign. And some had a dollar sign and a Euro symbol, just on different keys.

there are various distinctive keyboard formats dependant on the locale. Many many times occurring cyber web content grant a distinctive language for his or her customers. look on the perfect or backside of the website and you're able to be able to discover some sort of link to alter language. it must be buried in a settings decision as properly.

Keyboards are standard. It is the input stroke that will vary when you hit the key. So for different language, the alphabet keys will display a different language stroke when hit. That is all.
