If Jesus would have had relations with a woman don't you think he would have made it common knowledge. He wasn't the kind of person to hide things or make excuses about what he was doing. I think that people don't want to believe this because they believe him to be perfect and pure in every way( As do i) but on the other hand he was still human with human needs and as we all know sometimes those needs can drive you crazy. Perhaps, and this is only my opinion, his flesh needed a release so that he could concentrate fully on doing the Lords work. This doesn't sound too plausible considering he resisted temptation by Lucifer himself. Perhaps their relationship was totally platonic but then he only choose one woman to be 'friends with' didn't he.

it is offensive to the church because if Jesus saw a woman as an equal then they would also have to respect the rights of a woman.

if jesus saw fit to take a wife than 2000 years of catholic tradition would ahve to be changed.

if jesus had a child then there is a devine blood line on the earth and it would set the stage for the upheavel of all church doctrine and customs. church leadership could easily be ousted by anyone that claims devine blood...

however i am pagan i really have no problem with it.

A lot of people don't find it offensive, however, having relations with a woman would contradict what is written in the Bible.

Well, first of all, since Jesus created us and knows everything, He knows that sex is a wonderful experience. Having sex, (after marriage) is not a sin. God gave it to humans in order for them to enjoy each other; it represents the union of two bodies into one (Genesis 2:24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.). However, Jesus did not come to this world to have sex. His coming had a sole purpose, to save the human race from sin; He needed to show that man could live without sin. Everything he did had a purpose behind it; therefore there was no reason for him to have sexual intercourse.

I don't find it offensive, I just think for Christ to have of been married is not something he could do. He was devoted to God and had one purpose, to be preach the word and the truth until his Crucifixion as our Sacrificial lamb. If he was married, he couldn't of been totally devoted to God, because marriage requires time and commitment, he simply didn't have the time for a wife. God Bless!!

Jesus is pure, the son of God, our saviour. Don't you think he had better things to do than to "find out how wonderful" it could be?

If Jesus did sleep with a woman, it's not our business, perhaps he married her.
